Statement

The ephemeral nature of light and the exploration of multiple laying through translucent surfaces are recurring themes that influence my current hand woven textiles. Soft shadowy colours and white on white are favourite palettes with the main emphais on texture movement and space. The textiles are all hand dyed and hand woven usually in multiple layers using combinations of silk monofilament cotton and linen yarns. Texture has also been achieved by the use of elastised warps. Current collections include woven fabric designs for use in the manufacture of interior or fashion fabrics and a selection of art textile pieces for interior spaces.
